Kirsten Mullen

Founder/Director of the statewide literary consortium Carolina Circuit Writers, Kirsten Mullen is an arts consultant and folklorist. A member of the Freelon Adjaye Bond concept development team that was awarded the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture commission, she is working with The Conservation Fund to document maritime, African American and Latino cultural traditions in North Carolina. She has assisted in the production of the North Carolina Folk Heritage Award ceremony and in 2001-2003 she was the interim Literature Director for the North Carolina Arts Council.
