THE CHANGING FACES OF TRADITION is a series of North Carolina artist-and-community profiles. Explore changing North Carolina traditions with cultural reporters who interview traditional artists and community members across the state. Learn about the heritage that shapes community identities and about issues of change and adaptation that challenge the survival of community traditions. Support for this project was provided by the North Carolina Arts Council and the North Carolina Humanities Council.
